White Christmas (well, the day after)

I'm always a little bummed the day after Christmas because all the excitement is gone and the next thing to look forward to is summer. Going to bed Christmas night was like going to bed on Christmas Eve all over again. The only difference was that we were waiting for the SNOW and not Santa! As soon as we got up we put the layers on and went for a walk in the snow. Jonah loved walking in it and splashing in the puddles with his new snow boots!

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year! We are so blessed in the fact that we are able to spend Christmas with both families! It makes for a busy but really fun day! Jonah was a lot of fun this year! I loved playing Santa and setting all of his stuff out just right! Jonah is just now starting to grow out of the "baby toys" and really getting into pretend play with his kitchen set, tool kit and of course the train.

Christmas at Busch Gardens!

While Nathan and I were in VA for Christmas we decided to take Jonah to Busch Gardens to see all the lights! It was FREEZING but we had a great time looking at the pretty lights, riding the train, watching the Elmo show (well, Jonah did) and drinking yummy hot chocolate.

Looking at the choo choo with daddy.

Santa Baby!

I was REALLY nervous about Jonah being scared of Santa this year. I talked him up all day before we took him to get his pictures made and on top of me being nervous, Jonah didn't nap, putting me at a new level or nervousness! When we got there Jonah was distracted by the trains in the middle of the mall, so the wait was not too bad. When it was time to walk up Jonah went right to him...until Santa said, "choo choo" then Jonah went flying out the door to show him the "choo choo". SO CUTE! Jonah loved reading with Santa and Santa even told Jonah he loved him when he walked out the door. Such a sweet Santa :) Here are his adorable pictures that I had the hardest time choosing from!!!

SO Thankful!

There is so much this Thanksgiving to be thankful for. I'm thankful for a husband who I can call my best friend who loves me even when I'm not lovable, a son who also loves me no matter what and who has ability to melt my heart by just giving me a smile, parents who go out of their way to make our lives easier and for old friends who are always there, new friendships we made this year and for God's love and grace he gives us each and every day. Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween 2010 Weekend!

We had quite the festive Halloween weekend! Saturday there was a pig roast in our neighborhood cul de sac that lasted all afternoon and into the night...the nightimes mainly only consisted of daddies because the mommies were home with the babies :) Even though we may have been one of the only families dressed up, we got some good laughs and we really enjoyed our time with friends. We are so blessed to live in a neighborhood with such great families and having friendships that will last for a lifetime!

Halloween night, Nate's rents came over to hand out candy while we trick or treated with the Daniel and Kohout families. The boys all did really well at staying together and Jonah did so great at catching on and sticking out his little bucket for candy :)
